Florida State / The Graduate School / Events / Format Deadline
Format Deadline
Once students have ensured that their manuscripts are formatted according to the appropriate University guidelines, students must e-mail their manuscripts for “Format Approval” to the Manuscript Clearance Advisor. Student's manuscripts must be submitted as PDF files. Response time will take approximately one week. Students must ensure that their manuscripts are e-mailed by the “Format Approval” deadline in the semester they plan to graduate. No exceptions will be granted. If student's files are too large to send via traditional e-mail, students should see the "Sending Large Files via E-mail" section of the Blackboard ® sites.
Additionally, students should review the “Important Dates” for the submission of their manuscript, found on The Graduate School's Blackboard ® sites, under the “Theses, Treatises, Dissertations” submenu.
Students should also note that their manuscript does not have to be defended before they send it to the Manuscript Clearance Advisor for review. Instead, it is highly recommended that they submit their manuscript to the Manuscript Clearance Advisor at least four weeks in advance of their defense, as it is required that they do so for their supervisory committee.
