Scholarly publishing is growing and evolving in many ways due to digital technology. The aim of this workshop is to provide an overview of the principle of open access, and how it will affect future faculty members. The session will offer some basic ideas on open access, how it plays out on a university campus and how it fits with peer-review and the tenure and promotion model. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lunch and questions for discussion.
