Former Student Wins Second News Emmy

Alan Sealls
On December 4th. 2010, Alan Sealls (FSU, MS, 1987, meteorology; chief meteorologist at WKRG, Mobile, AL) won the second TV news Emmy award of his career for a 2009 story about Hurricane Ida titled "Ida Thought We Were Done." In past years, Alan has been nominated several times for Emmy awards for his reporting on weather. He earned his first Emmy award when he worked at WMAQ-TV, an NBC owned and operated station in Chicago.
