Responsible Conduct of Research Course
Each Spring Semester
Many students think that an understanding of the Responsible Conduct of Research applies primarily to behavioral and biomedical sciences, but the elements of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) applies to all disciplines of research and creativity (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences).
Who should enroll in this graduate one-hour Responsible Research course? Anyone planning to:
- publish
- collect and/or share data
- conduct collaborative research
- avoid conflicts of interest (e.g., financial, intellectual)
- conduct human subject research
- conduct animal research
- mentor
- serve as a peer reviewer
The text for this cross-disciplinary one-credit hour graduate course will be provided at no charge for each student regardless of the discipline of study. (limited to 90 students each Spring)
Spring, 2010, the class will meet in the new classroom building (HCB) Thursdays at 5:15 PM. Space is limited.
Arts and Humanities students should register SPA 6930-02, ref. 05003.
Social and Behavioral Sciences students should register for EDF 5935, ref. 05005.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics students should register for EML 5930-02, ref. 05003.
